Help Us Help Kids

Traveling Route 66 is an epic adventure, but there's a bigger reason for this particular trip: it's to raise money for pediatric cancer research. The Local Tourist founder Theresa Carter is climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro later this year, and before she goes she wants to raise $19,340 - or one dollar for every foot of the mountain. She's already raised and donated $1,771; now she and Jim are going to use this endurance drive to raise the remainder.

A trip of this magnitude has expenses, including accommodations, lodging, food, and the biggie, gas. Thanks to amazing sponsors many of those have been covered, and the remainder we're covering out of pocket. That means every dollar from your individual donation helps Endure To Cure's mission to further pediatric cancer research!

In addition to working to raise money for pediatric cancer research, while we're in Joplin we're going to be volunteering to help with the aftermath of the tornado.
